Dr.Arun H Nayak MD, DGO, FICOG

FELLOWSHIP IN ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY (KOREA)

Dr. Arun Nayak is a Professor and Unit Chief at L.T.M. Medical College and attached to L.T.M.G. Hospital as a senior Consultant Gynaecologist, Obstetrician and Laproscopic Surgeon. His main area of interest is urinary incontinence surgeries for which he has received special training during his Overseas Fellowship and has performed more than 75 surgeries including the TVT and TVT (O) procedures.
He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training from TNMC & B.Y.L. Nair Hospital in 1984 & 1989 respectively and to pursue his academic interest, he joined as Lecturer in Medical Colleges, initially in LTMMC and later at TNMC.
As he progressed in his career, he developed increasing interest in Laproscopic Surgery and Female Urinary Incontinence. To further his experience and operative skills, he travelled Overseas to Korea after getting awarded with a Visiting Clinical Fellowship at The Chungnam University Hospital, Korea
During his journey in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, he has been awarded with several prestigious prizes, fellowships, awards and medals at the State, National and International levels.

To fulfill his social responsibility and commit ment, he has participated and organized several camps and Workshops for the under privileged sections of the society and visits regularly as a Faculty to the Kutch area of Gujarat which was devastated by the earthquake.

He has been invited as Faculty and Guest Speaker on several occasions and has delivered lectures at many national and international Conferences and Seminars. He has been examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate examinations for Bombay (Mumbai university), MUHS, CPS, DNB and other universities across India. He is a University Recognised Undergraduate and Postgraduate teacher. He has more than 35 Scientific Research Papers and Case Reports published in various Peer Reviewed Scientific Journals. He has contributed several chapters in books as main author.
